About Dr Emma Chesterman

BAppSc MBBS MRMed

Sydney Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

I am a dedicated and compassionate Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who strives to provide an emphasis on caring and excellence in my practice. I aim to listen and provide the most up to date advice and treatment with a holistic and collaborative focus.

I obtained my Medical degree with Honours at the University of Sydney. I am passionate about women’s health and I was accecpted for speciality training with the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). My training hospitals included the Royal Hospital For Women, Canterbury Hospital and St George Hospital. Over my training time, I gained a wide experience in both Obstetrics and Gynaecological Surgery. While training, I completed a Masters in Reproductive Medicine.

Currently, I am an O&G specialist at St George Public Hospital and I enjoy teaching and mentoring the training registrars. This also ensures I keep up to date with all the latest guidelines and I regularly attend ongoing training and safety review meetings. As part of my duties, I cover a general Gynaecology clinic, a colposcopy clinic and a Diabetes in pregnancy clinic.

In addition, I enjoy working part-time in fertility, at Fertility First at Hurstville. The practice offers IVF, but also intra-uterine insemination, ovulation tracking and access to donor eggs and sperm.
